Bamboo Fishing Experience
During this experience,you will try the traditional way of fishing in Soma City using bamboo. You’ll make the fishing rods out of bamboo sticks, then use the leftover bamboo grass to try your hand at traditional “sasabitashi” fishing. The joy of catching a fish with a fishing rod you made yourself will surely become unforgettable memories! Please note that this experience will be led in Japanese language with limited to no English guidance available. This activity may be subject to change or cancellation in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We appreciate your understanding. Please contact us if you would like to hire an interpreter for a separate fee. This experience is operated by the Soma City Tourism Association. (相馬市観光協会)
