Tadami Line Bus & Train Tour
The Tadami Line Bus & Train Tour takes travelers deep into the natural and cultural charm of the Oku-Aizu region. Starting from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, the itinerary includes a stop at the No. 1 Tadami River Bridge Viewpoint, one of Japan’s most iconic photo spots, where you can capture sweeping views of the river and mountains as the train crosses the bridge. A highlight of the trip is the ride along the Tadami Line itself, offering uninterrupted views of Oku-Aizu’s rugged landscapes. The schedule also includes a visit to Nekka distillery, known as the smallest in Japan, where guests can see the sake-making process and enjoy tastings of locally produced spirits. This one-day excursion blends both bus and train travel, making it a convenient way to explore multiple attractions in a single outing. The package also includes lunch, ensuring a relaxed and comfortable journey between sightseeing stops. (A vegetarian option is available.) Operating on weekends and public holidays from August 8th to September 27th, 2026, the tour is led by a Japanese-speaking guide, providing local insights along the way. It’s an accessible and rewarding way to experience the splendid natural scenery of Oku-Aizu. Please note the tour may be modified or canceled in the event of extreme weather or other unavoidable circumstances. Some dates and activities may vary – please check details in advance. (Regarding the Tadami River bridge: since a train passes at 16.08, the tour operators cannot guarantee visitors will be able to shoot the passing train.)
