Tadami Line Autumn Tour
The Tadami Line Autumn Tour takes travelers deep into the natural and cultural charm of the Oku-Aizu region, celebrated for its brilliant fall foliage. Starting from Aizu-Wakamatsu Station, the itinerary includes a stop at the No. 1 Tadami River Bridge Viewpoint, one of Japan’s most iconic photo spots, where you can capture sweeping views of the river and mountains as the train crosses the bridge. A highlight of the trip is the ride along the Tadami Line itself, offering uninterrupted views of Oku-Aizu’s rugged landscapes, especially vibrant during autumn. The schedule also includes a visit to Nekka distillery, known as the smallest in Japan, where guests can see the sake-making process and enjoy tastings of locally produced spirits. This one-day excursion blends both bus and train travel, making it a convenient way to explore multiple attractions in a single outing. The package also includes lunch, ensuring a relaxed and comfortable journey between sightseeing stops. Operating on weekends and public holidays from September 13 through November 30, 2025, the tour is led by a Japanese-speaking guide, providing local insights along the way. It’s an accessible and rewarding way to experience Oku-Aizu at its most colorful time of year. Please note the tour may be modified or canceled in the event of extreme weather or other unavoidable circumstances. Some dates and activities may vary – please check details in advance. (Regarding the Tadami River bridge: since a train passes at 16.08, the tour operators cannot guarantee visitors will be able to shoot the passing train.)
